ELECTRICAL WEAR AND TRANSIENT RESISTANCE OF CONTACT RIVETS OF ELECTRICAL APPARATUS COVERED WITH NANOSTRUCTURED MULTILAYER COATINGS OF TI/TIN TYPE

Abstract: Contact rivets of electromagnetic contactor type K6E bearing four to eight layer coatings of the type Ti/TiN were subjected to test for electrical wear and transient resistance. The experiments for electric wear were conducted in the laboratory facilities of the Technical University - Varna, by observing the change in mass of the electrical rivets. The resistance of the transition was measured by a variant of the Kelvin method through a Thompson double bridge. The results obtained showed that the physical and chemical properties of the material of the contact rivets directly influence their transient resistance.
